The 41,282 homes acquired were reached, the best data for a month of August since 2010.
A total of 41,282 homes changed hands during the month of August, 16% more than in the same period of the previous year. For seven years a month with so little activity did not produce such good results in the sale of houses (43,610 homes sold in August 2010), according to the National Statistics Institute (INE).

Cumbre del Sol, Benitachell
Cumbre del Sol (Sun Summit) is a coastal mountainside urbanisation for the town of Benitachell. A residential zone measuring around 500 hectares in size when you can find villas, apartments and bungalows for sale.
There are only two roads to access Cumbre del Sol driving over the mountain either from the north entrance from the town of Benitachell or the south entrance from Moraira.
Property prices in Cumbre del Sol are cheaper than its neighbouring towns of Moraira and Javea, making an ideal place to buy properties in the North Costa Blanca.
Cumbre del Sol has a 3.5 km cliff coastline with south-easterly exposure and three stone beach areas. The main beach area of Cala Moraig is around 260 metres in length and 30 metres deep. Cala Moraig has parking and in the summer months, there is a beach bar (chiringuito) serving light food and refreshments.
The two other beach areas of Cala Lleberg and Cala de los Tiestos are only accessible by sea or by taking hiking routes with starting points just above the main beach area or in the south of the urbanisation just below the development of Montecala.
There are limited facilities in Cumbre del Sol, the area has a supermarket, Pharmacy, restaurant, café/bar, beach bar, tennis courts and equestrian centre. For more facilities, Benitachell town is 5 minutes by car, and you can enjoy Moraira town and its sandy beaches in just 10 minutes. The Javea Arenal beach area is a fifteen-minute drive from the North entrance.
For people who like walking on the northeast side of Cumbre del Sol there is a natural park where you can find a pathway that eventually takes you to the Javea beach area of Granadella.
For more experienced walkers to the south of the urbanisation, you can find the two hiking trails of Ruta de los Acantilados leading to Cala Lleberg and the Barranco de la Viuda taking you through the mountain to Moraira in the area of Arnella just above the beach area of El Portet.
In Cumbre del Sol you can find the newly constructed international school of Laude Lady Elizabeth, a school with fees for enrolment teaching the UK educational system.
Cumbre del Sol is divided into 14 different residential zones where you can find a property to buy:
The oldest properties are found on the Northside of Cumbre del Sol as this was the first part to be developed. These zones include Begonias and Girasoles with both of the zones bordering the natural park area. Within these two zones, you can find detached villas occupying private plots, most of the villas will have private pools.
Fresnos also borders the natural park area and to the sea in the northeast corner of Cumbre del Sol, there is a mixture of properties in this area. Detached villas occupying smaller plots (half size), some of the villas do have small private pools. Also, Fresnos in the development of Pueblo la Paz which is a community development of apartments and townhouses with a central communal pool area. To the side of Pueblo la Paz are the tennis courts and a café/bar serving food and drinks.
Properties for sale in Begonias, Girasoles and Fresnos have the advantage of being able to walk to the supermarket.
The properties in Dalias and Camelias have good sea views, you can find detached villas with private pools and also apartments and duplex apartments in the two communal developments of Pueblo Panorama and Vistamar.
Completing the northern side of Cumbre del Sol are the zones of Aldelfas and Camelias. These two zones have a mixture of independent villas with pools and some community properties with sea views in the complex of Pueblo la Luz.
The south side of Cumbre del Sol is made up of Kalmias, Liros, Olivos, Magnolias and Palmeras/Montecala.
Kalmias and Magnolias have independent villas with pools and sea views, Liros has both independent villas with private pools and also the luxury Apartment development of Blue Infinity.
Olivos is located next to the sea in front of the Liros commercial centre where most of the villas occupy smaller plots but this zone is also home to some luxury front line properties.
Palmeras/Montecala has a mixture of independent villas on smaller plots 3 developments of apartments sharing two central communal pool areas.
Montecala is a development where you can find more affordable apartments to buy in Cumbre del Sol.
